Linda Jo Copeland, age 66, died July 4, 2013 at her home in Lilbourn, Missouri.
She was born November 30, 1946 in Sikeston, Missouri. The daughter of the late Joseph E. & Esther (McGuirt) Adkins, she was of the First Christian faith, a member of the Manchu Association and had worked as Assistant Warehouse Supervisor for Associated Electric Power Plant in New Madrid, Missouri until retiring in 1999.
On December 29, 1992 in New Madrid, she married Fred Copeland; he survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Tammy Mechelle Babb of New Madrid; one stepson, Derek Neal Housman of Bertrand; one brother and sister-in-law, Dennis & Polly Adkins of Portageville; one grandson, Zackary Neal Housman of New Madrid; one niece, Angela Williamson of Puyallup, Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
Friends may call Sunday, July 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held Monday, July 8, at 2:00 p.m. Dr. Larry Walker of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be Mike Brasher, Larry Frazier, Johnny McGuirt, Hosie Moss, Robert Copeland and Michael Pickard.
